The day started off in a havoc. Hearing panicking shoutouts, which started from "Have you packed this up?", "put this in this bag, not the other one!" to "I'm late! Haven't bathe yet!". "Where's my blouse, my heels and gown!" - all because I was too engrossed in my packing (we had to leave Cambridge the next day of the graduation) and was nearly late for the ceremony.
The whole thing started off with all the Newnham graduating ladies marching from the college to the Senate House (where the ceremony will be held at). I complained about my feet hurting from heels, which my brother ignored, not knowing he will bear the consequence of it not too long from that moment (more about that later). The march which started at 9.20am, took around 20 minutes.
By the time the ladies arrived at the House, all the guests, including my family, are already seated. No photos are allowed to be taken in the House, but my bro managed to sneak his camera out to take a few shots before the ceremony started. The ceremony was conducted in a very formally way, so formal that it gave bro goosebumps a few times.
After the ladies marched into the House, the ceremony started off with the master saying a bunch of latin (the whole ceremony is practically in latin, so my family don't understand a word of it. However, I did explain it to me afterwards. Everything basically means "you are worthy of this degree that I award you today".) After the master of the ceremony's speech, the ladies who waited at the end of the hall walked forward in 4s, each held a finger of the assistant master, waited for the assistant to take off her hat, say some latin (again!), put back on her hat, and then the ladies will walked up to the their headmistress, one by one. The headmistress is seated, which then the ladies would kneel down on their knees and hold up their palms. The headmistress would then clasp their palms in hers, say (you guess it. Yes, latin!) some latin, and the ladies would stand up and bow to her. That's the whole process.

After all the girls have their chance with the headmistress, all families proceeded to the lawn outside the Senate House for pictures taking.

Oh yeah! Before I forget, I mentioned in front that my bro would bear the consequences of ignoring my complain about my heels so take a look at this. Could you guess what happen?

*JY walks in*
Finally one of us graduated (one side of my parents shoulder is lighter now). And now what's left is me. Every eyes is watching on me. No disappointment is expected. I will work hard to achieve my goals. Cheers!
