The Club, Bukit Utama

Every year, we would free the 3rd weekend to celebrate my aunt's birthday. However, since she is quite reluctant to celebrate it this year (since it fell on the ghost month), we opted to have a simple dinner in Restaurant Extra Super Tanker (REST) located at Tropicana instead.

Despite the weird name of the restaurant, it surprises me in every single aspect. REST can be easily spotted as it is the only chinese restaurant located inside. REST serves some of the rarest fish around.

Furthermore, the style of cooking is different from what you get outside. The place is a bit pricey, however if you're willing to try something different, this place is worth visiting.

It's not nerd, It's called the '80s

Yesterday, I had the urge to dress myself extraordinarily. Figuring out what to wear to college everyday was a pain in the ass. So I asked myself : "HEY! Why not be a nerd for a day? What I have to lose right?"

P/S : Brace yourselves. What you're about to see is mildly weird and extremely disturbing.

Friday is the only day of the week which we have a long 2 hours break. It's becoming a norm for us to get away to have better quality food for lunch. Yesterday, we went SS14 for Bak Kut Teh :)

The picture above make me looks short don't you think so? Cute at the same time too :) Every of my friends is trying to get rid of me cause I look nerdy. I was just a random friendless person who tagged along. HAHA!

Some mean insult you get when you become a nerd :

"Okay. You're only my friend when I tell you that you're my friend. If I don't talk to you, you don't talk to me."
"OKAYY!! :D So what time will you be my friend?"
"4.59pm to 5pm"
"OMG! Sydney's going to be my friend for one minute at 4.59!!!!!!!"
"Yes okay, please don't shout about it so loudly. OMG!"

"We have to be friends with him so we can make use of him remember?"
"Veena you're so mean!!! But so true. Hmm"

"You better change how you look or you're not getting into my car okay!"
"Yes San San."

So, what did I get in the end of the day?
Lot's of unwanted stares and giggles.

Spreading of Deadly A(H1N1)

Parents of a prominent Subang Jaya secondary school are fearful for their children's lives after hearing that a mathematics teacher died after succumbing to the deadly A(H1N1) flu this morning.
(Sources from Malaysiakini.com)

While having my usual class today, I received a message saying that one of my former school teacher passed away after succumbing to H1N1. In the beginning, I had no idea who she was, but later found out that the teacher was Cik Chai.

Although I did not study under her back then, it was heart breaking hearing the news. Whenever she was with her crowds of students, she would be smiling and smiling. A few months ago, I spotted her in the night market of SS15. Who would predict that a few months later, she would passed away.

For those that have no idea who she is, a junior of mine created a group as a tribute to her :
Thank you Cik Chai

A few months back, I once said that getting quarantine is like hitting the jackpot. It was almost impossible. Yet, it was proven possible when I was asked to self-quarantine at home for 1 week. Days ago, I said that getting infected by H1N1 would be like hitting the lottery. This proves me wrong again. Life is so fragile, and you may never know what would happen next. My former school is only approximately 5 minutes away from my house. Should I start wearing mask now?

Cik Chai, the contribution and sacrifies u made will be remember forever. RIP!

ACCA Sunway-TES Accounting Challenge

A few weeks back, I attended a prize-giving ceremony of ACCA Sunway-TES Accounting Challenge. The competition held was only between the students of all chinese independent school. Applause to Chong Hwa's participants for being the winner of 2009.

So why am I being so random anyway? It's not like I participated. Duh! Of course I'm aware of that. I believe all of you who stays in West Malaysia have been to Sunway Pyramid and heard of Sunway Uni. College right? Well then, do you have any idea who own Sunway?

Ans : Tan Sri Jeffrey Cheah.

In 2008, Jeffrey Cheah was ranked 22 on Malaysia's Richest 2008. (sources from Forbes.com)

Jeffrey Cheah: OMFG! What should I do with my $275,000,000

Tan Sri Jeffrey Cheah was one of the honoured guests invited to attend the ceremony. After the ceremony ended, friends of mine pushed their way through the board of directors following behind Tan Sri - just to request for a photo to be taken with him :)

Surprisingly, Jeffrey Cheah is a very down to earth old man. When we requested a picture with him, he agreed without any hesitation. He even volunteered to find a place with a better view where the pictures can be nicely taken. How cute can a old man be?

But TOO BAD. Business is still business. One day, one day I shall fulfill my dreams to.... *silent*

Nonetheless, the most shocking fact is that Jeffrey Cheah drove a freaking Lamborghini. Imagine an old man driving a Lamborghini. Holy cow! I was only expecting Jeffrey Cheah arriving with a chauffeur in a luxurious car - maybe a Mercedes Benz S500? But this is totally out of expectation.

Our founder drives a Italian sport car. What about yours? A national car?

Be Green, Use Mooncup

Noticed this in Newnham's hostel washroom, Cambridge.

Whenever I shit, I will be staring at this ad wondering how it looks like (not like I want to okay? It was sticked behind the toilet door).

If MJ's moonwalk managed to be a legend. Why not Mooncup? Give it a try :)
