My incident occurred at Sunway University College where they charged me RM15 from where I was to USJ, which is only a stone’s throw away. I asked the taxi around and the results were all the same. The taxi drivers there are manipulating the price. That's the ugly truth of Malaysian cab driver. According to a hostel friend of mine, the cab driver are aware that the residents/students are desperate enough to head over to Sunway Pyramid etc for some entertainment. Therefore, they take this to their advantage and manipulate the price.
Metered fare [SunwayU - Sunway Pyramid] RM1.80
Fare charged [SunwayU - Sunway Pyramid] RM5.00/RM8.00(midnight)
You think RM2.00? Well, guess again! Add another ''0'' behind. RM20, BB Plaza-Suria KLCC
In this case, don't need study already la. One way trip in KL can easily cost RM20. If everyone work together and manipulate the market, problem solved. You're be rich in no time! Congratulations!

I tried before, the fare charge from Sunway Pyramid to Sun-u during mid-night was RM10.00, which is double of it. RM8.00 as well but between the time from 11pm to 12am. Robbers with licenses!!!!!
now days all the cab driver is the same. especially Indian & Chinese. Somehow even if you follow the meter, it might get more expensive, cause they manipulate the meter.
We can sue them, but I don't think the enforcement is strong enough.
So what to do, just pray & hope that can get a honest cab driver.

wanyee, fully agreeable. Sometimes sitting cab during midnight is even more dangerous than walking.
Baboon, some driver follow meter and + RM3 at the end of the journey. That's okay too. Cause ''own'' rate is even higher.
