For me handbags have always been every girl's necessity and accessory which she need, to put in her purse, make up kit and all. But why would a girl wants her boyfriend to carry it for her. Like I said from what I understand, handbags are a girl's accessory. But if it's for the boyfriend to carry, it becomes part of boyfriend. Handbags are fashion statement for every well dress ladies. Am I right?
There was once I saw this guy holding her girlfriend's bag which was pink in color. I asked myself... what if the guy were carrying the girlfriend's Chanel, LV, Burberry bag instead. Well.. I think I wouldn't feel that bad for the boyfriend then. Afterall it's a designers handbag! I do know a few people that wouldn't allow their boyfriend to carry for them, because the bag is part of their fashion.

Don't get me wrong. I agree that guys should help carry girls' bag when they go to the washroom or trying out clothes. It's a courtesy from guys.
A friend from Maldives did told me once that they do not have the habit to let their boyfriend carry their bag for them. It's just not manly to do so #likeaboss
So I can't help but to think.. what is the purpose and reasoning for those who does?

i don't mind carrying for like 5 minutes or a while but if want me to carry for a whole day... i think i'll rather walk to the car and dump every single heavy thing inside and pass back to the girl.. hahaha
Haha good topic. Some guys carry for their gf cos it's heavy? But I think it depends on the style of the bag la... if too girlish, better let her take her own :p
I just think it's funny if girls let their boyfriends carry their bags when they're just walking around in shopping malls or whatever. I mean, I can understand if they were going to the restroom or something, but seriously. If you're gonna let somebody else carry your bag, why bring it out in the first place? And yes, a handbag is YOUR accessory, not his. lol

To me, if you want your boyfriend to carry your handbag, why not just leave the bag at home and that you could walk around freely with your boyfriend? It's really pointless to just dump a handbag to the boyfriend and walk like a boss, as if the boyfriend owns the handbag, be it girlish or boyish. If it's only for five minutes, I'm fine with it though. Hehe! :P
I never let guys carry my bag. Even if he offers. Coz like you and Laura said, it's my accessory. MINE!! XD
Don't quite understand why girls would want their boyfriend to carry their handbags. If it was a guys' bag and a girl was asked to carry it, I'm pretty sure there'll be complains lol. And, like everyone have been saying, it's your accessory. Just carry the bag yourself, if not just leave it home and go out without it. Just my two cents :)

1. Egoistic guy/man would look down on your boyfriend.

Normally I won't but got one time wore high heel and bag super heavy cannot stand with the forces then forced myself to ask my bf carry for me. Hehe
Depends lo. If the bag is bright pink or very girly then rather not have the bf carry la.
If the handbag too heavy for a girl to carry, the boyfriend can help the girl to carry for a while 1. =DD Vut not for whole day la, a bit sissy. =S
sometime i ask my bf to help me carry my handbag is bcuz it is tooooo heavy! u know that, sometime bf also will put their thing into our handbag. it make our handbag more heavy! and sometime he will automatic help me to carry. but, most of the time i will carry it myself la :) convenient and also comfortable to me :)
well, i used to think that it is sweet that the boyfriend carry the handbag for the girlfriend too. but then, i find it rather weird after seeing them doing that many times. it is because... erm... i dont know how to explain. but erm it is rather too much for me. the handbag is for the girl, not the boyfriend. if it happens to me one day, i wud insist to carry my own handbag on my own. LOL!
Couldn't agree more. I always tweeted about this HAHA One of the thing that annoys the hell out of me. It looks really ugly on guys and I srsly don't get what's the point as well. Since it's the girl's bag, if you don't wanna carry your bag, don't bring the bag :D
