Starbucks XMAS Card

Starbucks Malaysia (@StarbucksMY) lately launched their preloaded card to all coffee lovers. Starbucks card is like a Touch n Go card, where you just need to top-up the card, and present to the barista upon ordering. Initially I was thinking whether to get it, and sisMAY ended up getting two of them. Well, since there's extra one, shouldn't waste it :)

With the Starbucks card, everyone is entitled to one free grande frap after registering on the website. Well, if you're hardcore enough, top up RM100 and get your hands on the Starbucks planner. We only got our Starbucks cards RM20 preloaded.

Anyway, both of this XMAS edition Starbucks cards are selling fast. Though I think it's probably all sold out in some of the outlets by now. But with this card, we'll have more reason to go Starbucks more often

Putrajaya Night Marathon 2011

I took part in Putrajaya Night Marathon 2011 last month. My very first night marathon. Really enjoy running marathon lately, the satisfaction and achievement I get when crossed the finish line cannot be expressed in words. My 10K race was scheduled to start at 8.30pm, but I went there much earlier to beat the traffic.

Putrajaya Night Marathon 2011 tee

Organized by Bank Simpanan Nasional (BSN)

There was no breeze that night, so I was all hot and sticky real soon. It didn't make the run any easier too.

The beginning of the run was kinda chaotic. Everyone was very excited, wanting to make a good start. But after 1-2 kilometres, the crowd slowly ease out. The run was quite smooth, and songs blasting from my iPhone was a great compliment. Towards the end, all I was thinking is the nice cold Milo they have for us. LOL!

Managed to complete the race under 1:20:00. Not sure of the exact time, but according to my Nike Boom app, it was around 1:19:xx. Will be missing the next few runs including Nike We Run KL, as it's quite close to my finals. Hopefully, for the next marathon I'll be able to top my current record :)

Movie Premiere: Immortal

Date : Wednesday, November 9 2011
Venue: Cathay Cineplex e@Curve
Time: 9.30 PM

Courtesy of Nuffnang, I get to watch Immortal three days before it's official release in cinema.

Synopsis:
Years after the Titanomachy, the Titan declares war on humanity. He searches for the Epirus Bow, a legendary weapon created by the war god Ares, which allow him to free the rest of the Titans from Tartarus and take revenge on the Olympians who brought about their downfall. In accordance with ancient laws, the gods are unable to take a side in the war between Hyperion and humanity. It is left to Theseus, son of Poseidon and accompanied by the priestess Phaedra and a slave named Stavros, to protect his homeland and save the gods.

Love all special effects they included in God's fight with Titan. But was really turned off by the 'Human-Titan' war scene towards the end. It's no '300' for sure. To make things worst, the censorship board has to sensor a few parts of the movie. Booyah!

Overall, the storyline was OK- well, typical Ancient Greece movie. They should have concluded the movie better though. Oh btw, the leading actress,
Freida Pinto is HOT. One of things you can look forward to if you happen to watch this movie.

My Happiest Moment

Without a doubt, 20th January 2011 was 'My Happiest Moment'. Thie day my childhood dream came true. Do you remember yourself wanting something (toy?) very badly when you were a kid, you keep begging your mom to buy it, and she finally gave in with a nod? You were on cloud nine. Well, that's the feeling I had when my childhood dream came true. Except, it much 10x more awesome. I couldn't hear anything around me, but my own heartbeat.

I couldn't feel my legs, it was so heavy. But I slowly walked over..

...my uncle's newly purchased Ferrari F430. Childhood, boys, buys, fast cars. Doesn't that self-explains everything. Yes! Since I were a kid, I love cars. It's in the DNA, I guess.

It so happened that he was dropping my place and I Was upstairs with my piles of assignment. I heard loud exhaust revs and saw something striking from my balcony. It was red! I literally jumped out from my chair! To cut things short, he was making a trip back to hometown, and I asked if I could tag along. (He always know how much I love Ferraris). He agreed, and that was the first part of my childhood dream.

Never in my life would I imagined myself fulfilling the second part of my dream so soon. It was when he asked whether I would like to drive back to KL. I rejected politely. C'MON! SUPER EXPENSIVE CAN?

He insisted saying that it was a rare opportunity- late night, empty stretch of highway! So HELL YEAH!

I was driving over 240kph (oops!) for the whole 1 hour journey. I enjoyed every second of it- being throw forward during every shift. And also the low growl of the V8 in the rear when it downshift. It was astonishing. I was in control! #likeaboss

This may not be the best picture of me with my childhood dream. but it means a lot. Although I may not have the best smile, the best shoe (pfft, slipper), but it's THE picture.
